Antonio Guerrero created this series of 16 paintings in September 2014, while still behind bars in federal prison in Marianna, Florida, to mark 16 years since the arrest of the Cuban Five.

Antonio together with Gerardo Hernández, Fernando González, Ramón Labañino, and René González were imprisoned in 1998 as a result of their efforts to uncover plans by Florida-based paramilitary groups to launch attacks against Cuba. In December, Antonio was among the three remaining members of the five who were finally released, returning home to Cuba, where the five are continuing their efforts in the fight to end the U.S. embargo and defend the Cuban revolution.

Take the F, J, M, or Z trains to Delancey/Essex Street.
Building entrance is on Suffolk Street (corner of
Rivington and Suffolk)
