  1. I have worked with Ricardo in the past on many rallies and events. He was truly an inspirational individual to me and too many of us. We will miss him dearly.

  2. I met Roberto Prieto twelve years ago
on West 50th Street when he had a little
art gallery. During our exchange I
discovered he was Cuban and that he was
not a reactionary Cuban. This I thought
was great. Eventually I would find him at
pro Cuba meetings and rallies in support
of Cuba. We became good friends always
sharing thoughts on Cuban culture and
politics. He never complained about his
illness. He was always upbeat and positive.
I feel so blessed to have known him.

  3. Thank you Casa for providing this space to remember our dear departed brother Ricardo Prieto. I first met Ricardo in 1992 when he participated in the very first US-Cuba Friendshipment Caravan organized by IFCO/Pastors for Peace. Throughout the years his incredible commitment to justice in general and the fight to eradicate the cruel, immoral and illegal blockade of Cuba was a true inspiration. A gentle soul with a big heart — that summarizes my friend Ricardo. We miss him but his spirit lives on….Ricardo Prieto, Presente!!
