Caracas, Venezuela.— Nicolás Maduro has been elected by his people as President, and, in view of this, the most extremist opposition -defeated at the polls- has taken off its diplomatic make-up.
They were hiding the real plan. Their intentions were not electoral, but violent. This was demonstrated in the last days, with a wave of terror financed by the national and international ultra-right, with the consent of the White House, as the President has denounced.
Sabotage to the headquarters of public agencies, destruction of machines and electoral material, destruction of symbols of national identity and obstruction of public roads are some of the terrorist actions perpetrated.
On the other hand, the National Assembly (NA) approved a draft Agreement of recognition to the electoral results of July 28 and, in a joint installation of the Council of State and the National Defense Council, Maduro requested advice to strengthen the biosecurity system of the country.
In addition, he announced the creation of an economic fund and appointed a commission to protect the families who are victims of the “fascist comanditos”, as well as the creation of a special Commission for the government to assume the defense in the social networks, and requested the deployment of a patrol and protection plan in the Venezuelan streets. He also determined to create a system for the protection of popular leaders in the communities. Finally, he notified that a window will be opened to denounce criminal activities.
Meanwhile, in the center of Caracas, and in other cities of the country, the people have taken to the streets with the tricolor flag to defend, in a united march, peace and national stability.

ALBA-TCP must be in the first trench against interference and interventionism
Dear brother, President Luis Arce, we share and support your words, and thank you for giving us the opportunity to participate in this ALBA-TCP Summit;
Dear President Nicolas Maduro;
Dear brother Prime Ministers Ralph Gonsalves, of St. Vincent and the Grenadines; Roosevelt Skerrit, of Dominica, and Gaston Browne, of Antigua and Barbuda;
Dear representatives of the nations that make up our Alliance;
Dear Jorge Arreaza, Executive Secretary of ALBA-TCP:
I would like to begin by expressing our deepest solidarity with the sister nations of the Caribbean that have suffered severe damage in recent days as a result of Hurricane Beryl.
The loss of lives and the material damage caused by this hurricane hurt as if they were our own, and here we ratify that they can always count on the modest support of Cuba, where we know very well the scope of these blows of nature against the small island territories and their fragile economies.
In that understanding and in the historical will to contribute what we can, the Cuban collaborators who suffered the hurricane’s onslaught together with the towns where they are working, immediately joined the national efforts to assist those in need from the very beginning of the recovery, because for us it is very clear that no problem affecting the region is alien to us.
Comrades:
When the first news of the irregular movements of some Bolivian military units became known, we immediately rejected those actions and immediately maintained the denunciation and offered support to brother President Lucho Arce.
We cannot allow the return of the infamous coup attitudes and actions that sowed such a painful memory in Our America and that seek to reverse the popular will.
For us it is inadmissible that the legitimately established constitutional order should be violated by force of arms.
The circumstances explained by President Arce, which urgently summon us to this Summit, confirm the validity and the need to defend with force and determination the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace approved ten years ago at the Second Celac Summit in Havana.
At times like these we must multiply solidarity in the face of the political polarization and division of our societies promoted by the adversaries of Latin American and Caribbean unity and integration.
The ultra-right uses this polarization to use manipulation and deceit to attack popularly oriented governments, to hinder their social development policies and the progress achieved as a result of decades of struggle of the peoples.
If they achieve their objectives, periods of calm will not come. Repression will come, persecution of social leaders; atrocious neoliberalism will come, the surrender of natural resources to transnational corporations. New lost decades will come and will accentuate the setback of all the advances in the integration that we owe each other and that is possible if we continue to bet on unity with respect for diversity.
Our peoples know this. This explains the spontaneous mobilization that immediately came to the defense of President Lucho, even at the risk of their lives.
A government of progressive and popular orientation must defend itself in compact unity against the powerful adversaries it generates.
It is up to all of us to promote solidarity and cooperation in the region, in strict compliance with the principle of non-intervention directly or indirectly in the internal affairs of any other State, but supporting, without hesitation, progressive governments when they are attacked by the traditional oligarchies in coordination with external and internal referents under the auspices of imperialism.
It is urgent and necessary to reject the coup methods that are constantly emerging and to denounce the use of modern tools of manipulation that try to stop, frustrate and abort the progressive political processes in our America.
We see it happening again and again in sister Venezuela, where they are trying to generate violence once again, now in the context of a new electoral process.
We confirm it in the constant U.S. meddling in the internal affairs of Nicaragua, where we still remember and hurt the terrible events of 2018.
Only the unity of our peoples, of the social organizations and their referents will allow us to successfully confront the plans of imperialism and its allies against the sovereignty and independence of our nations.
ALBA-TCP, our Alliance, must be and will continue to be in the first trench of that battle against the demons of interference, interventionism, neocolonialism, the Monroist spirit that, 200 years after its formulation, continues to mark the gaze and actions of the empire towards Our America.
Always onward to victory!
Thank you very much.
The Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance denounced the recent coup attempt in Bolivia
“It is urgent and necessary to reject the coup methods, which are constantly trying to emerge and denounce the use of modern tools of manipulation that seek to stop, frustrate and abort the progressive political processes in Our America,” stressed yesterday the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, while speaking at the 10th Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP).
The meeting – which virtually gathered representatives of the ten nations that make up this integrationist bloc founded by Fidel and Chávez – was convened to denounce the attempted coup d’état in Bolivia, on June 26, and to reaffirm support to the government of President Luis Arce Catacora.
Díaz-Canel expressed that we cannot allow “the return of the infamous coupist attitudes and actions that sowed such a painful memory in Our America and that seek to reverse the will of the people.”
Accompanied at the Summit by the member of the Political Bureau and Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, he referred to the validity and need to defend with strength and determination the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, approved ten years ago at the Second Celac Summit in Havana.
At the Summit, the Bolivian President denounced the hate speeches that sow fear and uncertainty in his country, the economic sabotage, and the agenda of external interests on important natural resources of the nation such as lithium. He added that it is unpleasant for our States to decide on their natural resources.
He highlighted the profound democratic vocation of his people, who came out and mobilized to defend democracy throughout the country with barricades, rallies and marches. He also thanked the international community for its support in the face of the coup.
Nicolás Maduro Moros, president of Venezuela, said that we are proud of that people, of their courage and strength. “Bolivia has given an example of courage and responsiveness,” he said.
After several Caribbean prime ministers and representatives of the nations of the bloc intervened, Jorge Arreaza, executive secretary of the Alliance, read the Final Declaration, in which they expressed “the categorical rejection of any coup d’état or attempted coup d’état, in whatever form, as it constitutes a threat to democracy, constitutional order, peace and the life of the people.”
The Declaration made explicit the rejection of the position of the Argentine President Javier Milei, who, in spite of all the evidence about the coup, continues with his aggressions to the Government and people of Bolivia.
More than 125,000 activities of all artistic manifestations are planned all over Cuba
Summer is approaching and, with it, the most hectic time when it comes to celebrations. Families get together, plan their vacations, enjoy their loved ones and the free time this is the most awaited time of the year for most people, and many institutions in the country are joining in to offer recreational spaces to the population.
Under the slogan “Summer Mode”, the Ministry of Culture announced the vast plan of activities of all kinds that will be carried out during the months of July and August, which will reach the 168 municipalities of the country. In spite of the difficult economic situation the country is going through, the program will reach the most remote villages of the island, bringing love, culture and entertainment to its inhabitants.
More than 125,000 activities of all artistic manifestations are planned to take over Cuba’s squares, theaters and streets. Among these activities, there will be more than 80 events convened at the institutional, municipal, provincial and national levels, mostly aimed at rural, vulnerable or mountainous communities, with the purpose of satisfying emotional needs through art, also in areas that can be very difficult to reach.
Tours, concerts by professional groups, theatrical presentations, exhibitions, fairs, contests and workshops are just some of the proposals that will be available to the public, in most cases completely free of charge.
Among the tours scheduled are those of the National Circus of Cuba, La Colmenita Children’s Company, Cándido Fabré, Haila María Mompié, Arnaldo y su Talismán, Will Campa and Alexander Abreu. The grand kick-off of the summer day will be held jointly in all the country’s municipalities tomorrow, June 29, with presentations of casino wheels and dancers of the genre in the main squares and parks of each place.
